What to expect after treatment

1. Red scalp; it's totally normal for your scalp/skin to be red following microneedling. Using a good moisturiser MEDI+ Hydrating elixir will help minimise the redness and soothe the scalp.

2. Bruising and swelling; not common but may occur, do not panic this is normal and will reduce within 12-24 hours.

3. Minimal downtime; the inflammatory effect of miconeedling is short, within 12-24 hours your scalp should fade from red to its normal tone and the swelling should go down though you may experience some sensitivity for up to 48 hours.

4. Stay away from Ibuprofen; skinneedling relies on your bodies natural inflammatory process to stimulate cell regeneration so it is highly recommended that you stay away from anti inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen. These medications will interfere with your body's recovery process and affect your results. Use a cool compress to soothe any discomfort or swelling and pat dry after shampooing, no rubbing.

 

Schedule your next appointment for 2-4 weeks time. You can safely repeat the procedure every 2-4 weeks until you achieve your desired results.
